Pod Chocolates is a Nigerian Bean – To- Bar chocolate company that sources all its cocoa locally and majority of its other ingredients from local artisans as well. All our chocolates are made in small batches to enable us pay close attention to the flavour profile and uniqueness of each cacao bean batch.

We make a wide range of cacao based products, and we are particular about spreading the chocolate gospel, so we offer various tasting events, team building activities and training (online and hands on).

Moji Aina graduated with a Bsc. (Hons) in Actuarial Science and also holds an Advanced Diploma in Operational Research. She has always had a passion for sweet things, and as a result, decided to have chocolates at her wedding. Unfortunately, there were no chocolate makers in Nigeria. She took some vacation time from work and spent 5 days learning how to make chocolates, so she could have chocolates at her wedding.  Upon her relocation to Nigeria, someone who heard she made chocolates for her wedding also requested for chocolates, this lead to the start of her company called Chocolatier’s Wonders. A company that provided premium handcrafted Belgian chocolates and gourmet cupcakes. She successfully ran the company for 4 years until she had to relocated with her family.

In 2017, her rebranded company, Mogee Magic, made a comeback and disrupted the confectionery industry in Nigeria with her fun and creative baked treats. In 2018, she started her Nigerian Bean to Bar chocolate company, Pod Chocolates, one of the first in the country. She uses locally sourced cocoa beans and ingredients and transforms them into the most luxuriously smooth chocolate. She even created the first Zobo Chocolate bar in Nigeria using our local zobo leaves. She has attended chocolate trainings in the UK and US and also has a Certificate in Baking and Pastry. She is very passionate about the Chocolate Industry in Nigeria and plans to champion the growth of this new and innovative industry. She is putting together a campaign to enlighten, educate and equip (the 3 E’s) young people about opportunities within the chocolate industry, especially those in cocoa growing states. She aims to build a company that aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals by contributing to the development of her community and country at large.
